Greetings
I like to welcome you all to this small gathering; Clients, friends and staff.
The reason we are gathered here today is to celebrate in a small way our existence in the past 10 years. This is a Memorable day intended to appreciate few of the staff who have distinguished themselves, individuals and corporations that have made selfless contribution to the ideals and progress of Havilah over the 10 years we have existed. We full appreciate all those who believed in us and were there for us throughout, without any strings attached.
We are proud of your support. Recollect: in 2008, we came and there came a recession. We weathered through. In 2014, the onset of another recession. This has lasted till date, and seems to the longest in Nigerian history. Yet, we have remained. Having weathered through 2 worldwide recessions yet remained alive, focused and resilient, we can only give God thanks, and same for companies that despite our lack of adequate experience engaged us, we say Thank you! Who is behind Havilah? This is the same questions we get, from the first and earlier companies we worked for till date. I look around, all I can see is the big hand of God, and His Grace. It is that awesomeness of God that we are celebrating in the life of Havilah Hydrocarbon Resources today. And also in the lives of the people and corporations that have made significant and resounding accomplishments in our business in the last 10 years.
Who are we?
The land of Havilah is mentioned in Genesis 2:11 as where there is gold. We represent the inhabitants of that golden territory.
Havilah Hydrocarbon Resources Management - HHRM (Nig.) Ltd., is a preeminent local content partner, run by indigenous Oil & Gas professionals with substantial experience and credentials. A subsidiary of Havilah Energy (Canada) Inc. HHRM is an early stage Independent Energy Company engaged in oil and gas exploration, development and production for clients. The company is managed by a group of young Nigerian Oil and Gas professionals with over 300 years of combined Nigerian and international experiences in Oil and Gas exploitation, with work experiences from most of the major international E&P and Services companies as well as the few successful Nigerian Service Companies.
To give a historical perspective, by February in 2007 some of us in Calgary called ourselves together with a desire to set up A First Class Oil & Gas Asset Evaluation, Field Development Planning and Hydrocarbon Resources Management Company, providing best-in-class client support in global exploitation of hydrocarbon resource management.
In the cause of trying to organize ourselves into a company, some felt it wouldn’t work and left. Eventually we were now left with about 10 Calgary based, mostly ex. Shell personnel to begin a journey of managing the new business Havilah Energy Inc.

Officially we became 10 in June 2018. The decision to even recognize this milestone was nearly cut short considering the current state of the business and the general Oil & Gas outlook, in Nigeria and indeed globally. Despite this, when we look back at how we have fared within our sector, despite the difficult business operating environment, we do not have any choice than to give Glory to God. Our achievements are our testimonies.
Initially, it was meant to be a small conference room event, then, we considered the office frontage. Before we knew it, we get here. It kept on getting bigger and bigger.
I want to thank our chairman, BoD, the members of board, the founders and the companies that gave us their back to climb to recognition. God will stand up for you. I also want to appreciate the organizers, and AceJo Media group for adding unmerited colour to this event. The Lord will bless and honour you all.
To mark this milestone, HHRM recognizes individuals and organizations who have provided extraordinary efforts towards helping the company achieve its goal of becoming an Oil & Gas Asset Evaluation, Development and Management Company of choice through its Distinguished Service Awards in three categories as specified below:

Staff who have reached 5 and 10 year milestones will also receive certificates of recognition.
For the staff who will be honoured today, it is a call for more service, more dedication and a motivated to do more selflessly. It is a call to be more dedicated and committed to hard work and think beyond the assignment placed at your table. It is a call to share knowledge, develop others and be self-motivated and encouragedto win with the company. It is call to ensure that we continue to adhere to our high quality job delivery to client to put in your best and remain focused on satisfying our clients.
It is our desire that our clients will continue to give us the opportunity to be of service to them. Please, continue to give us prompt feedback necessary for us to put our staff and consultants in check and above all, make good account of our relationship by rewarding us with due payments accordingly. Our intention is to build a company that will outlive current management, that will outlive the founders, we appeal for more and more jobs!
I want to welcome you all again, and call all to enjoy the Glitz and Glamour of this special day, that the Lord has made.
